Yasir

Yasir is a ten-year old boy suffering from bilateral aphakia, the absence of the lens of the eye and nystagmus, movement characterized by alternating slow phase movements in one direction and Saccade-like quick phases in the other direction. Once examined in Amman, the physician determined that the pressure in both eyes was too high for surgery to be assuredly successful. The physician advised medication that would help to decrease the pressure. Surgery could be considered at a later date. In the meantime, in addition to providing Yasir with the medication, CINI purchased him a new pair of glasses, which improved his sight.
